Situated 10 km outside Otavi on the 83031 Road to Lake Guinas in the north of Namibia, our Farm is the ideal stopover en route to Namutoni, Kavango or Kunene.
Measuring 6 000 ha along the beautiful Uisib mountain, the farm stocks natural occurring game like Kudu, Eland, Warthog, Jackal, Leopard, Duiker, Damara Dik Dik, Steenbuck and Baboon in abundance.
About 10 years ago, other game - which has in the meantime multiplied considerably - has been introduced, e.g. Giraffe, Waterbuck, Impala, Springbuck, Black Wildebeest, Mountain Zebra, Ostrich and Hartebeest.
Accomodation is offered in three beautifully thatched Bungalows, containing two beds each, with their own shower & WC facilities, one double room with bath, as well as one suite (ideal for families with small children), which all face a waterhole, where most of the game come for a drink during the day.
A total of 10 adults can be accommodated in our air conditioned rooms. At night, the waterhole is lit so that game can be watched 24 hours per day.
Guests are treated to a sumptious breakfast, coffee and cake with a delicious dinner to end off the day. Lunch is served on request.
Gabus Game Ranch Activities:
Visitors may lounge next to the swimming pool, overlooking the same waterhole.
During the rainy season, when the dam fills up with water, various species of wild ducks and geese and other water birds can be seen as well.
For game that does not frequent the water hole at the house, a game drive around the farm will almost guarantee that visitors see most of the game available.
A large thatched Entertainment Area provides a relaxing atmosphere for an enjoyable evening. At the bar refreshing drinks are served and dinner is either a formal sitdown in the dining room or an informal braai around a fire, listening to the night sounds of the wild and watching the African Stars.
Tours around Namibia can be booked through us and a self contained four bedroom flat is available for rent in Swakopmund.
Twice annually, tours with a minimum of 6 persons are undertaken to remote and rarely visited areas, like Bushmanland and Kaokoveld.
Special arrangements can also be made for a fishing trip to Botswana.
